Everyday, humans all over the world are fighting for their liberation. People around the world including millions of children are being exploited, they are being starved, they are being displaced, they are being poisoned, they are in concentration camps, they are being bled of their natural resources, they are not given access to clean water, they are being kidnapped, they are being buried alive, they are being martyred, they are being dehumanized, they are being ethnically cleansed. You may think this has nothing to do with you, but you are wrong. Humankind is ALL OF US. we are all here sharing this same planet.. we are all here bleeding the same blood.

Humankind all of us.
— Bethany Kazakevicius-Crane

It has become so hard to go on with my everyday life without thinking of a parent that may be wishing this was all a bad nightmare. that they could wake up with their children again.

It’s hard to not think of the people starving while I’m cooking my family dinner. It’s hard not to think of the babies who are left behind in the world with no living relatives. It’s hard not to think of the women giving birth, having their cycles, trying to produce enough milk to feed their baby when they haven’t had clean water to drink or food to eat. It’s hard for me to see a school, hospital, church or museum and not think of the many that have been completely destroyed. It’s hard for me to hear the silence! These oppressed people are begging us for help.

My brain chemistry is permanently altered after viewing what’s been going on around the world and on our own continent. People say “just turn it off” “just stop watching”

“focus on positivity”. It’s just not that easy. If we don’t witness and acknowledge what is happening and fight for it to change, it will never stop. The corruption will never change.

I wanted a space that had a variety because I knew I wanted two scenes.

While choosing a studio space for this project I wanted a space that had a variety because I knew I wanted two scenes. I had never been to studio elevn before but I followed on IG.. the day I was considering studios, a reel from studio elevn popped up showing their new floral installation. That in combination with the rugs….It was the perfect space! Truly divine timing. The only thing I would’ve changed was booking the space for longer!
